　　1、你的自我说明是真实的

　　英国大学招生官会首先考察推荐信是否在某种程度上证实并支持你的自我说明和定位。如果在申请短文中自称自己是公司的—个非常成功的交易人，那么，阅读你申请材料的招生官会仔细地查看你的上司对你的评价，并用这个机会来判断你的自我说明是否客观合理。

　　从另外一个方面来说，推荐信的作用也很重要。推荐信提供了更多的关于你的信息，你应当最好请推荐人通过具体的例子来支持他对你的总体看法。

　　3、你的管理能力比较突出你必须确认推荐信的目的是为了你自己的利益，你要控制他们写的是你所希望的，并要求他们(以对你最有利的方式)写出你愿意说出的东西，并设法请他们及时将推荐信寄出。通常来说，你不能指使、命令这些人，你能够用的只能是影响力而不是权力。所以，写推荐信的过程实际上也是考验你是否具备能够将别人说服的能力的过程。
