有这样一个故事：有个人遇到了难事，便去寺庙求拜观音。
当他走进 庙里猛然发现观音像前也有一个人在拜，那人长得和观音一模一样。
于是便问：“你是观音吗?”那人答道：“是。
“那你为何还拜自己?”“观音”笑道：“因为我遇到了难事，可我知道，求人不如求己。
是啊，如果 人人都拥有 遇事求己的那份坚强 和自信，也许人人都会成为自己的观音。
在现实 生活中，不是因为有些事情难以做到，我们才失去 自信;而是因为我们失去了自信，有些事情才难以做到。
自信是生命的力量 ，自信可以让生命更有分量。
更没有能力一个人独处，因为当夜深人静的时候，他不知道一个人会发生什么事，坐在窗前冥想走过的点滴…
总有一些人，他们看上去整天都很开心，嘻嘻哈哈的，没有烦恼，像个小孩，他们会说“玩是我最大的乐趣，我很喜欢玩，我什么都会玩…”
因为一旦伤害了，那就将永远弥补不回来!

自信，是一种大度，一种高度，一种厚度，一种态度，它给人以积极向上的动力，它给人以不懈追求的力量，古之成大事者，不惟有惊世之才，亦必有坚忍不拔之志，正是这份执着，才有了古往今来多上英雄事迹供我们瞻仰。
正是这份自信，才有了古今中外多少英雄豪杰令我们肃然起敬!
自信可以很大，它如初升的`红日照亮世上每一个角落，它可以是诸葛亮面对司马懿万千大军时抚琴自若，谈笑风生的那一份淡然，它可以是张翼德长坂桥前横刀立马，怒目圆睁，吓退夏侯的那一份勇猛，它可以是比尔盖茨毅然从世界最高学府哈佛退学，投身软件开发事业的那一份决绝，它更是13亿中国人民面对世界各地奥运参与者的那一瞬温暖的微笑。
自信也可以很小，它像微亮的烛光却温暖着最细小最黑暗的角落，它也许只是球员面对篮筐时射出的那一道完美的弧线，它也许只是运动员起跑时微微绷紧的双腿，它也许只是面对一道难题时，细心解题，认真想题，缜密做题的过程，更也许只是演讲者上台演讲时那高昂的语调和微笑的表情。
是的，自信大到无疆，用它壮伟的身躯带领我们勇往直前，而自信也可以小到不见，却用最细小的事物给我们以最深的启迪。
于是，彷徨的双腿边的坚定，微弯的脊梁变得充满力量，在人生的十字路口，是自信为我们指引前进的方向，在浓雾弥漫的大海，是自信让我们永不迷航，扬起自信的风帆，驰骋成功之海，怀着自信的心，我愿引吭高歌：我自信，我成功!用自信书写我人生中最壮丽的那一页篇章!我的演讲完毕，谢谢大家!

ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
first i want to ask you some questions:
1、do you know what is youth?
2、how do you master your youth?
youth
youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.
years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
