  1.呼叫方和接线员常用电话英语口语

  A.确认身份

  TAB Corporation. Can I help you?

  TAB Corporation. How may I help you?

  Hotel International. May I help you?

  J&C Consultancy. What can I do for you?

  This is Paul Smith speaking.

  Hello, this is Paul Smith from Shipping International.

  Hello, this is James Lee calling from BHI in New York.

  Hello, this is Wang Ping calling from Singapore.

  B.转接电话用语

  May I speak to Mr. Brown?

  I’d like to speak to John Martin, please.

  Could I speak to John Martin, please?

  Could you put me through to the sales department?

  Could you tell me the number of the sales department?

  I’ll put you through.

  I’m putting you through.

  I’m connecting you now.

  The number of the sales department is 334. Shall l connect for you?

  2.呼叫方和被呼叫方常用电话英语口语

  A.接电话及说明原因

  Hello, this is Jane speaking. May I help you?

  Good morning/afternoon/evening, York Enterprises, Elizabeth Jones speaking.

  Who’s calling, please?

  B.确认信息

  There are two things I want to mention.

  Can I just make sure I’ve got this point?

  You mean the first thing I have to do is ship the goods in July. Is that right?

  So, we will meet on Monday, 9 o’clock in the morning. Is that right?

  C.如何结束电话沟通

  Thanks for calling.

  Thanks for calling back.

  Thank you for the information.

  3.电话留言常用电话英语口语

  May I take a message for you?

  Would you like to leave a message?

  Could I ask who’s calling, please?

  Could you say that again/ repeat that?

  Could you speak a little more slowly, please?

  I’ll give her the message as soon as she’s back.

  I’ll ask him to call you first thing tomorrow.

  4. 打错电话及其他常用电话英语口语

  I’m afraid you’ve dialed the wrong number.

  1、A Longer Message 记录较长的留言

  2、G:I'm trying to reach Mr.White in Room 3301, but there's no answer.Could I leave a message for him?旅客:我想和3301房间的 White先生通电话,但是没有人接,我能给他留言吗?

  3、R:Certainly.The message is for...? 接待员:当然可以。请问您给谁留言......?

  4、G:Bob White in Room 3301.旅客:3301房间的 Bob White先生。

  5、R:3301.Go ahead,please.

  接待员:3301,请继续说。

  6、G:Please tell Mr.White that the meeting in Beijing tomorrow has been canceled. I'll see him again in Guangzhou next Monday.

  旅客:请告诉White先生明天在北京召开的会议取消了,我下星期一在广州与他见面。

  7、R:I'm sorry,would you repeat that please?

  Business and social etiquette can be tricky, and making the right moves can make a big difference. Take this quick quiz and see how you fare in the following business situations.

  1. Your boss, Ms Alpha, enters the room when you're meeting with an important client, Mr. Beta. You stand up and say "Ms Alpha, I'd like you to meet Mr. Beta, our client from San Diego." Is this introduction correct?

  当你正在接见一个重要的客户贝塔先生时,你的上司阿尔法女士走了进来。你站起来说“阿尔法女士,这是我们的客户,来自圣地亚哥的贝塔先生。”这么介绍对吗?

  No. Always introduce the more important person first. You should address your client and say "Mr. Beta, I'd like you to meet our Vice President of Development, Ms. Alpha." Remember to use people's formal business titles - it helps to make them feel important.

  2. You're entering a cab with an important client. You position yourself so the client is seated curbside. Is this correct?

  Yes. When your client steps out of the car, he or she will be on the curbside and therefore won't have to deal with getting out in traffic or sliding across the seat.

  3. A toast has been proposed in your honor. You say "thank you" and take a sip of your drink. Are you correct?

  No. If you do, then you're toasting yourself. Stay seated until everyone has toasted you and then stand up and make a toast of your own starting with a short 'thank you' to the person who toasted you.

  When you're introduced, at their home, at their office, and on the street. In other words, it's rarely improper to shake someone's hand. Make sure you have a firm (but not painful) handshake for both men and women.

  6. You've forgotten a lunch with a business associate. You feel terrible and know he's furious. What should you do?

  Call and set up another appointment. And don't forget to apologize for your error. Imagine how you'd feel if it was you!
